The local Folkestone visual artist Ebun Culwin will be exhibiting 25 years of her work in The Untold Exhibition at the Sassoon Gallery, Folkestone Library from 14th November until 30th of December. Growing up in Folkestone Ebun has retained many memorise of the colours sounds and sights on its wide beaches and in its ever-changing weather, they have never left her, they are to be seen in all her work from Wave the visually arresting breaking surf to her monumental Buddhist inspired work Seven Bells.  

Ebun’s techniques range from slow and meticulous pencil drawings were addition and subtraction create space and shadow giving my drawings their haunting, mournful often unfinished air through to large seascapes in oil. Essentially her artistic practice transfers her spiritual beliefs to form, light, colour and visual language readily understood and acting as an inspiration. to others.
